Josh peruses the text of the website one more time before he runs the downloaded software. He feels he detects in the wording of the licence the self conscious austerity of prose, the eye gleam of zealotry, that indicates true intent on the part of the the developers, that they mean him no harm.
For a few seconds he daydreams. He briefly envisages an Estonian, and then a Chinese operation harvesting such true intentioned copy, and using it to cloak malware sites. But there is no possible configuration of reality where that would make this make sense.
He relaxes and concludes that on the balance of probabilities he and the software developers are part of the same church. And anyway, like all good members of this church, Josh is installing the app in a sandbox - safely quarantined from his other systems. He clicks "Submit" to start the installation. As the program downloads, unpacks, and alerts, he idly wonders why have they named the install button "submit".
